Summaries

In 1871, the Rangers are disbanded due to lack of funds so Monroe County sets up it's own police force. All ranchers must pay for protection, but those who do not are quickly robbed and/or killed. Johnny Steele, is head of the police, but his second in command is working for Judge Morgan, who leads the outlaws. When the Three Mesquiteers try to help Ben Walker, they are accused of his murder and of trying to rob the stage.—Tony Fontana <[email protected]>

The Three Mesquiteers, Tucson Smith (Bob Steele), Stony Brooke (Tom Tyler) and Lullaby Joslin (Jinnie Dood), are devoted to the traditions of the Texas Rangers, but along with Stony's father, Ranger Captain Sam Brooke (Charles Milller), they share an impatience with the official red tape which stand in the way of equipping the Rangers to cope with increased lawlessness in Texas. While protecting a shipment of gold, Captain Brooke is shot dead through the back, The Threes Mesquiteers vow vengeance. The Rangers are officially disbanded and a County Police Force is set up. This is really nothing more than a protection racket cattle ranchers who refuse to pay for "protectin" are either killed outright or suffer devastation of their property. In a series of adventures, wherein the Mesquiteers are jailed, the finally discover the murderer of Captain Brooke and clean out the outlaws.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
