A girl stows away on a ship, and the antics begins.

The story of a two-year fur-trapping expedition from New York to the Oregon territory, where Robert Stanton (Franchot Tone) , the agent of the expedition's organizer, John Jacob Astor (Sig Rumann), and Frenchman Ovide de Montigay (John Carroll) vie for the affections of a lovely stowaway Julie Morgan (Virginia Bruce).
