Byers came up with the show's concept, as he puts it, "way back in 2004 after a run in with Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner. The show features a talented cast lead by Johnny who perform off-the -wall skits and parodies. In Disco Werewolf, P.I., Johnny demonstrates his love of disco and still has the moves to prove it. The Chicago Sun Times called the show "a sketch comedy/horror show that could be likened to SCTV and Son of Svengoolie having a mutant offspring together".—The Professor & Bradley Beard
