Antoine, a news reporter and former humanitarian worker, is back in France after living through terrible experiences in Mali. He's come to Saint Gilles to write an article on Romanesque art. Here he meets Constance, the attractive adopted daughter of Mrs Naudy, the local innkeeper. Constance too has a secret. She's been trying to find the truth - too long hidden - regarding the death of her parents, Eva and Louis Lacassan.
