The melodramatic story of Virginia, an ill young woman in love with her wood-carver husband.

1890s Ano Petralona, Athens, Greece. With his anaemic wife, Virginia, gravely ill, the handsome woodcarver, Nikos, decides to invite her seventeen-year-old distant cousin, Liolia, to take care of her, and monitor her rapidly deteriorating health. At first, Liolia's arrival is a blessing; however, after only a few months of co-existence, irresistible lust takes over, as Nikos and Liolia fall madly in love with each other behind Virginia's back. But, the consequences of this ill-advised decision will be fatal for everyone involved.—Nick Riganas
