In 1984, Anna from West Germany and the GDR citizen Philipp meet at a church youth exchange in East Berlin. It's love at first sight. But it is also an impossible love, because between them stands the wall.

The 16-year-old Anna from West Germany meets in 1984 during a trip of her church youth group to East Berlin know the living Philipp. Since her visit to Berlin, he can not get her out of her head. Against the will of their parents, they start writing letters, thus maintaining contact. Some times they even meet in East Berlin and fall in love more and more - they all want a common future, but the wall is in their way. Secretly they forge plans for Philip's escape from the East, but are targeted by the Stasi and must exercise the highest care. Also, Anna's parents begin to suspect that their daughter hatches something, and they want to ban their contact with Philipp finally. The love of the two young people is put to the test again and again - can they survive in these difficult times?
