Santa is getting old and starting to have trouble getting his distribution run completed, in one night, and he's starting to make mistakes. When it's pointed out that his mistakes are leaving some children disappointed, Santa strikes a deal with Krampus that will stop his aging, and allow Santa to continue passing out toys, to children, forever.—Sal Lizard
