The Story Of Our Lives lays out the genesis and progress of a reunion. What makes this reunion somewhat unique is the simultaneous tracing of the background of the major characters while presenting the current situation of the protagonist, Nick who has recently discovered he has six months to live. Nick wants to reach a moment of reconciliation with friends who he regards as family. He wants to arrange a meeting to reach such a conclusion before the end of his life. Nick's best friend Rashad believes this is a futile undertaking. Rashad believes there has been a serious rift between Nick and his friends. Despite Rashad's protest, Nick insists on pursuing this goal of holding a meeting of reconciliation. Through non-linear storytelling, we'll show why the road to a truce is not without its detours as will be seen through the series run. It's been over ten years since Nick and his friends have spoken and during this time, their lives went on, consequences from their unresolved past continued to impact their present thus putting the hope of any such reconciliation in question.
