"The Shock Theatre" was a hosted horror movie show with John Zacherle as "Roland" presenting movies on WCAU-TV Channel 10, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; from 7 October 1957 to 13 September 1958. Roland often referred to his wife "My Dear" who was never seen; but when Zacherle was removed from the show, Jean Ziegler as "My Dear" took his place for three shows, when Zacherle returned. The show aired Monday and Tuesday at 11:25pm, then moved to Friday and Saturday nights.—The Professor
