Amy Kincaid was pregnant with her husband Kevin's child and all was going well until Kevin was seriously injured leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. The only thing keeping Kevin alive knowing he and Amy would be parents soon. Amy couldn't tell Kevin she miscarried. It could kill him so she decided to be artificially inseminated and let Kevin believe the child was his. Dr. Brian Neeves, Kevin's doctor, had fallen in love with Amy so he helped her with the artificial insemination not telling her he had been the donor. So Amy was carrying Brian's child pretending it was Kevin's. Eventually the truth came out, Kevin left town and Amy seemingly forever. On the last day of the telecast, Kevin came back and he and Amy and the baby lived together happily from then on.—James Sullivan
