Synopsis

A group of monks, including Saint Columban (Dino Nolting) offer a sacrifice to the monster of the Lock Ness. The huge animal appears to eat them, but a young monk (Rafael Haider) runs away and hides behind the rocks.

PRESENT TIME

Tim Winter (Lukas Schust) wakes up. His bracelet shines and he realises his dream is about Nessie, in Loch Ness in Scotland.

The next day the school principal (Sabine Bach) gives the first prize on nature sciences to Tim. His father, Eric Winter (Hans-Werner Meyer) makes a fool of himself. Eric has organized their holidays in tropical Borneo. Lara Schumann (Alina Freund) bides them goodbye. Eric gets shocked when he hears from the flight attendant (Miriam van Dooren) that the plane is taking them to Inverness. Tim bought the tickets on internet but kept it quiet to his father.

The good-fun no-nonsense taxi driver Emma (Nina Kronjäger) takes them to the castle Heartspring. The keeper of the castle (Thomas Fritsch) refuses to take their luggage to their rooms or cook for them. When on the banks of the lake, Tim's bracelet shines again. We change to the old times, when Saint Columban realised that Nessie was male and a creature of god, so he makes a treat with the druids to take care of Nessie forever. Lara had given a hippy bracelet to Tim so that he leaves aside his silver bracelet. The bracelet shines at that moment and takes Tim to the portrait of a man. The butler startles Tim and tells him that there is an omen behind those walls. Eric doesn't believe his son.

The bracelet leads Tim to the portrait again. Behind, there is a recently walled hole, from where Tim gets a wooden box. Tim opens it and there is an old map of the lake with a secret passage to the lake, but Eric doesn't believe Tim nevertheless. A beggar is following Tim and Eric without any of them two realising it. Eric destroyed all his opportunites as a serious investigator going behind the trail of the monster, so now he doesn't want his son to make that mistake again. Eric decides to come back home that very same night.

Sheila (Jasmin Schwiers) and his soldiers arrive heavily armoured to look for Nessie. Sheila and the beggar, now Paul (Serge Falck) - now shaved and looking really handsome - frenchkiss each other. Tim also leaves on his own to look for Nessie. Eric tells Merlin why Tim has left. Merlin will go with to rescue Tim. He takes him to Emma, who will take him to the other side of the lake on her boat.

Meanwhile Tim has found one of the landmarks in the map. One of the soldiers, Roberto (Roberto Guerra) asks Sheila if they can trust Paul. She says she only trusts her vibrator. Sheila frenchkisses Roberto so that he doesn't complain anymore.

Paul traps Tim, but he threatens to kill Lara to get the map, which Paul has hidden somewhere. Paul, Tim and the map return with Sheila. Eric gets hanged by a trap but Emma saves him. She knows that the hunters are after Nessie as well.

Oki (Rufus Beck's voice) frees Tim, but they leave the map behind. Oki and Tim throw one of the soldiers (Bastian Volkmer), then they make Pedro (Peter Bosh) fall into the river. Other soldiers start getting nervous. Meanwhile, Eric pushes Emma to cross the river through the rapids.

Jimmy (Jaymes Butler) is attacked by something which is not Oki. Everybody leaves him screaming for dear life. Tim asks Oki to bring his mother back from death, but he refuses. Roberto and Sheila steal the map from Paul, but the next morning Roberto has disappeared, leaving Sheila and Paul. Sheila is about to shoot Paul, but she falls down the mountian. She uses the map as bait for Paul to get her up, but Paul has made a croquis of the map on his arm, so she lets her fall. Sheila dies falling down the mountain. Paul also realises that Tim is following him by his smell. Paul shoots but doesn't aim well.

Oki takes him and Tim to 200 years before. Nessie's dead, but Tim finds Nessie's egg because Oki can't swim. Paul shoots Tim who doesn't want to give him the egg. But Tim is alive -he was only wounded by Paul's shooting- and Oki defeats Paul. Oki says that Tim is the guard of Nessie. When everything is over, Eric and Sheila arrive. Eric is more understanding now. They three finally see Nessie. Eric is about to kiss Emma when Tim finally realises that the egg is moving. They will take care of the egg until the next generation is born.

Merlin -the rude keeper of the castele - and Oki say that Tim and Eric will return when the time arrives.
