It's a story about how the elite Samurai who lost everything by injury and failure returns back to Samurai life again with the support of his wife. He finally overcomes his disability and accomplishes Sensei's will.

Kenji and his best friend Shintaro used to be the best Samurai in the castle town. They belong to the sword-instructing school for the castle lords. People believe that either Kenji or Shintaro will be the next Sensei and the top Samurai in the castle town, until the assault. Kenji and Shintaro saved their lord's life, but Kenji got injured and lost the grip of his left-hand which means the end of his career as a swordsman. The Sword was everything to Kenji, and now it's gone. After losing his purpose to live, he spends his days drunk. Even Shintaro called Kenji "the quitter" because he gave up his sword. Rin, Kenji's wife, still continues supporting Kenji even though Kenji throws away his sword and becomes a cripple. She knows that in his heart, Kenji still has a strong passion for his sword. After the death of Yamamoto, the Sensei of Kenji and Shintaro, he left a will to announce that the next Sensei of the dojo will be decided by matching the two top swordsmen Kenji and Shintaro, which Shintaro has always wanted to challenge. Rin received the will from Yamamoto and she made up her mind to bring her husband back to where he belonged. Through the hard training with Rin, Kenji brings back his confidence and sword skills.
