The Road to Q'ero: A Journey Home explores the transformational journey of a New York family traveling with Lorenzo, an Andean shaman back to his homeland in a remote part of Peru. The travelers are Iva, a film producer and writer living on a sustainable farm in New York's Hudson Valley, her son Jack a New York City filmmaker and photographer; his girlfriend Julie, teacher and linguist; and family friend Katherine, a researcher and recent college graduate from university in England. They have been invited by the Q'ero to do something unprecedented, something that had never been offered to anyone: to enter with cameras and film the sacred initiation ceremonies of these famously reclusive people.—Anonymous
