Two first-year students at Oxford University join the infamous Riot Club, where reputations can be made or destroyed over the course of a single evening.
Alistair and Miles, both with aristocratic connections, start their first year at Oxford University though they are very different, Miles is down to earth and happy to have a girlfriend, Lauren, from a lower background whilst Alistair is a snob with aspirations to follow his uncle, a Tory MP. The common bond is that both become members of the Riot Club, a long established elite drinking club priding itself on hedonism and the belief that money can buy anything.—don @ minifie-1, geo
New to the prestigious Oxford University, privileged first-year history students Alistair and Miles are like a fish out of water. But as the feckless and self-centred kids enjoy the benefits of privilege, an unexpected invitation to join the ranks of the infamous Riot Club, a private all-male dining club for the chosen few, opens up an entirely different horizon before them. However, when the wealthy members assemble in the function room of a country pub for the club's annual dinner, the working class crosses paths with Britain's ruling elite and unforeseen complications ensue. And before long, the boys' debauched, booze-addled gathering turns into an endless night of cruelty and unbridled violence.—Nick Riganas
