Aviator John Leslie meets Diane Du Prez in Canada when he seeks shelter from a storm, but returns home at the news of his father's death. Sent by her father to New York, Diane goes out socially with John, but her rough dress and manners are unacceptable to his friends. She accepts an offer from Dunbar, John's business manager, to give her financial aid.
