A series of short films produced by Walmart and directed by some of Hollywood's top directors such as Antoine Fuqua, Marc Forster, and a collaboration between Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen that aired during the 2017 Oscars. These films were based on random six-item Walmart receipts given to each filmmaker and were entered into a competition to see who could create the best out of nothing. The films entered were "The Gift" by Antoine Fuqua, "Lost and Found" by Marc Forster, and "Bananas Town" by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen.—Stephen Lynch
As part of its 2017 Oscars advertising, Walmart asked several directors to envision stories based on a receipt from the chain. Marc Forster's "Lost and Found" story finds kids living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. One day, lights guide one of the kids to a wrapped present containing a baby monitor with a feed of a smiling child. When the battery dies soon after, the group of kids brainstorms until they figure out where to get new batteries. The video footage, to the delight of the kids, comes back to life when they add a new power source.
