Synopsis

A man is quietly contemplating ways to paint and still make a living. A college studentwonders about what her future would be if she followed her heart instead of her businesssense. Two women in love follow the trajectory of their twenty-three year love affair. Afuture policy maker recalls his personal history; half-Jewish and half-Catholic, he has alove-hate relationship with religion.

They are all part of the technocratic generation in which bound together by the internetand the evolving landscape of what is new media and traditional media. Their individualvoices are heard through the catalyst of one: Josh Wolf, who went to prison for his beliefsand consequently altered the course of history.

The story begins with Wolf's harrowing tale as he was incarcerated and sent to prisonafter he refused to give up his sources as an independent journalist, making him thelongest jailed journalist in American history. Through a narrative that is both past andpresent, he walks on an endless journey through San Francisco's diverse landscape tocome across a bridge in which his civil disobedience brings together the disparate voicesof the quiet uprising occurring not within the boundaries of physical space, but thedialogue that erupted on the internet.
