Man Wai-sum (Charmaine Sheh) hit the big time and attained the status of the Queen of News as she covered some hardened criminal case many years ago. Leung King-yan (Kenneth Ma), another prominent prime time anchor, is the leader of an opposing camp to Wai-sum's. They just cannot stand each other. While infighting persists, Wai-sum eventually joins the management team, and her prestigious anchor position is freed up. Cheung Ka-yin (Selena Lee) stays away from power struggle and only wants to be a good journalist. Hui Sze-ching (Samantha Ko) uses her pretty face and figure to get promoted. Tsui Hiu-mei (Regina Ho) is Wai-sum's trusted aide. And they are popular candidates to take up the baton. Wai-sum wants to implement reforms. But two-faced Chief Director Yu Ying-fei (Eric Tang) gets in her way.
