The movie portrays the life of the Virgin Mary from the Crucifixion (33AD) till her miraculous departure/death (44AD). It also describes the early years of the Christian Church community.
Jesus Christ has been crucified...His glorious descent to Hades is being taking place, where He will crush the power of Satan.Many people in Hades, believe in Him when they hear His words. Among the believers, are well-known historical figures.
The Virgin Mary, like all the Apostles, draw lots as to where they will go to preach. In the evening of the same day, Archangel Gabriel appears to the Holy Mother and reveals God's Will for her, to visit Lazarus, in Cyprus, as he cannot travel to Jerusalem, since he is persecuted by the Jews. After a terrible sea storm, though, their ship ends up in the port of Clementos, at the peninsula of Macedonia (Mount Athos).
There, all the elements of nature bow down to worship the Mother of God. Trees and plants bend towards Her. The Virgin remains quite a long time on Mount Athos and after a short visit to Lazarus in Cyprus, she returns to Jerusalem, where she will engage in charitable work.She will perform great miracles, casting out demons, charities, and in time she will be respected by everyone.
In the meantime, the Apostles preach around the world, and we focus mainly on Paul, but also on the centurion Longinus who has turned to Christianity and martyred. We also focus on Thomas' adventure in India.
Towards the end of Her earthly life, the Holly Virgin receives a message from Archangel Gabriel, who announces the desire of her Son to take her by His side.Many people gather to receive Her blessing for one last time. All the Apostles except Thomas, are miraculously transported on clouds, from the places they were preaching, to Jerusalem.
Holy Mary will ascend to Heaven, where her Son along with all the Angelic legions will welcome her like she deserves.
