The adventures of a community of anthropomorphic peas, who live in a town of over-turned flowerpots at the bottom of the garden.

The series focuses on Poddington, a community consisting of 34 anthropomorphic peas. Their individual names reflect both their specific occupations and their main character traits. The community includes two of its own regular villains. Black-Eyed Pea is an eye-patch-wearing troublemaker who cultivates carrots with "sinister eyes". Creep-Pea is a rather mean-spirited trickster with demon-like horns on his head and fang-like teeth in his mouth. The two villains are best friends and roommates, sharing ownership of the so-called "Creepy Castle" which overlooks the houses of the other characters.—Dimos I
