Summaries

The Ozark Trail was conceived in 1976 by land stewards that formed the Ozark Trail Council. It wasn't properly maintained nor was it's 200 miles connected... most did not know it existed. Enter the late John Roth. He started The Ozark Trail Association in 2002 and became a full time volunteer for the OTA since he retired at age 39. He was an amazing influence on everyone that met him. The OTA pioneered the idea of a 'Mega' trail building weekend. Attending a Mega and working alongside John before his death provided the inspiration for making this video for him, his organization and his lovely trail. Recognized with many awards, the OT and OTA continue to grow as we work toward reaching the Arkansas border.—Anonymous
