Edith Larrison (Billie Dove) is the wife of Nort Larrison (Kenneth Thomson), a hateful and jealous husband. Through circumstances beyond her control she spends a night away from her home, and her childhood sweetheart, Jon Carter (Grant Withers), has to appear as a coward in order to protect her from a false accusation of infidelity and slander.
