The Music of Terezin. During the Second World War, people imprisoned in the Jewish ghetto of Terezin in Czechoslovakia performed theatre, cabaret, concerts and opera. Among these people destined for Auschwitz were four composers: Viktor Ullman , Hans Krasa (Brundibar!), Pavel Haas (Study for Strings in The World on Its Dark Side) and Gideon Klein , all of whom were sent to their deaths by the Nazis.
