An inspiring story about relationships, forgiveness, and priorities. Paul McAllister seems to have it all, but his life starts to fall apart. Guided by the wisdom and advice of an old golf pro, Paul learns about playing a good game both on and off the course.

A stickler for playing by the rules, Paul McAllister leads an outwardly successful life as the founder/CEO of the Atlanta-based business conglomerate, McAllister International, which is expanding into the Asian market for the first time under the leadership of the new COO, Asian specialist Ted Styron. Part of that expansion includes Paul playing in a televised charity pro-am golf tournament where his primary goal is to meet and court fellow "am" player, Asian businessman Chao Wong, whose company with which they want to partner. Paul doesn't foresee any problem in impressing Wong, either professionally or on the links as he views himself as more than an "amateur" golfer. However, Paul's personal life, about which he doesn't like to talk about publicly, is a mess, he and his wife Rebecca McAllister, his childhood sweetheart, separated for five years and on the verge of divorce, and their only offspring, Jake McAllister, an up and coming motocross racer, despising him, they both seeing Paul as abandoning them in favor of the company. Paul finds out more about specifically Rebecca through his faithful assistant, Harriet Hendricks, than from talking to Rebecca directly as the two women are among a group of women friends centered on their Christian faith. The tournament doesn't go quite the way Paul had envisioned, with he having a very public meltdown on the course on many different levels. One of the tournament hosts, retired golf pro Tom Lehman, suggests to Paul that he might benefit from talking to Will Dunn, affectionately referred to by those that know him as the "Old Pro". While Paul walks into the situation with Will as getting a few expert golf pointers and playing a few rounds of golf, Paul will discover that Will will provide him more with a few pointers on life with golf as that metaphor for life, it important both professionally, as Paul is unaware of a snake in the company's midst, and personally in hopefully making amends with Rebecca and Jake before he loses them forever.—Huggo
