With the annual wine harvest as the backdrop, The Monks of Vina explores the rituals and curiosities of monastic life. Along the way, the monks faith will be severely tested, especially among the new arrivals who recently relinquished all worldly possessions, taking vows of poverty, obedience and chastity. Added to the mix are a female, fifth-generation winemaker and the spirit of Leland Stanford, who once ran the largest vineyard in the world on the same property.
