Henry Stevens knows that Ferguson's abandoned mine is valuable and when Jack Ferguson plans to reopen it he has him framed for murder. Bill and Gabby save him from the lynch mob and then investigate his mine. They accidentally find the secret door that connects it to Steven's mine. But Stevens' men capture them and set a charge that will explode and bury the two intruders.—Maurice VanAuken <[email protected]>

Wid Bill Elliott (Bill Elliott), with his pal Gabby Whittaker (George 'Gabby' Hayes), drops by the Ferguson Ranch to see his sweetheart, Nancy Ferguson (Anne Jeffreys), who lives there with her brother Jack (John James) and her Aunt Bess (Georgie Cooper). Jack is trying to interest town banker Dan Bates (Edward Cassidy) in financing the re-opening of his "Big Hope" mine, long considered worthless, against the advice of Henry Stevens (Ian Keith), a family friend. When Bates is murdered, Jack is accused of the crime and jailed. Bill and Gabby suspect Stevens of complicity in the crime. They investigate the mine, find ore, and prove that Stevens and his gang were trying to get the mine for themselves.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
