The spirit of a murdered king gives Kai the cloak of Miracles to raise him from the dead. Kai discovers that working miracles is not as easy as he imagines.

The SOOTHSAYER's spirit haunts a young hero, KAI, to persuade him to use the Lost Mantle of Elijah to prevent PILATE destroying the crucified body before it rises from the dead...
MEGUINE the Medicine man & his daughter MARU, seek to retrieve the fire, stolen from their land by the curse of the SPHINX. KAI is deceived by MEGUINE into forfeiting the Sacred Arrows into the hands of the triumphant PILATE in exchange for The Lost Mantle of Elijah. PILATE's henchman, PORTOULD, fires the arrows at the SOOTHSAYER's tomb, only after he fires some arrows to destroy the Black Church, where BAXTER & MARU are MALECK's captives.
BAXTER & MARU depend on KAI obeying the master of the Mantle... or it won't only be the SOOTHSAYER's body which needs rising from the dead...
