Sergeant Fahd is assigned during the war of attrition to cross the Sinai desert, as a civilian, to gather information about the Israeli military to prepare the way for his son, who is tasked to lead a surprise attack against the enemy.

The film presents the story of the patriot Sergeant Fahd, as intermittently narrated by himself. In ruing his military service is no longer needed by the Egyptian military command, Fahd offers to help in any way possible to achieve success in the war of attrition against the Israeli occupying forces. As a result, he is assigned to cross the rugged Sinai terrain, disguised as a civilian, to gather information about the Israeli military leadership, where he meets the girl Maryam. Meanwhile, Captain Mansour, his son and the leader of one of the thunderbolt factions, is tasked with destroying the Israeli headquarters. Will they succeed in their dangerous missions against the well-organised occupiers spread out in deep trenches across the Sinai desert?—moonlit texts
