Red a promising college basketball star gets caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now just getting out of jail, he meets up with his old friend Spoon, whom he took the wrap for. Red has some hefty decisions to make - Follow in the footsteps of his father; buckle down and get a 9-5, or does he head back into the street life that he once desired? Spoon and Red seem to be looking for a way in, while King along with his brother Dame are looking for a way out. King has been in the dope game since he was 15, he is ready to retire and get his family back, along with his brother Dame, who aspires to become a legit businessman.
