The Legend of the Skate Camp Pirates is an intimate look into the life at the Element YMCA skate camp during the summer of 2009. This film contains skateboarding from campers, staff, visiting pros and ams. The serene environment and wildlife at Lake Sequoia found in the Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Park is captured. Camp activities like the Elemental Awareness wilderness survival program appear in montages. Zany vignettes and skits appear in the film touching on skate culture and state of mind as well as extra skits in the bonus section. Pure skateboarding in a pure natural environment.
