This is a story of rough men who make a living by smuggling in swampland. There is a restaurant named Anrakutei on "island", which is a wasteland surrounded by moat and swamp. The owner Ikuzo (Tatsuya Nakadai) manages the restaurant with his kind daughter. Its customers who have a dark past, such as Sadashichi (Taka Daisuke), Yohei (Masuoka Toru), and Genzo (Koji Yakusho) respect Ikuzo. One day, a half-dead man Tomijiro came to the restaurant. This was the beginning of Ikuzo's terrible fight.
