Story of a fighter down on his luck, who loses his life in the ring. Set in a troubled town in the centre of England. Life for Tob is tough, his mother is an invalid, the town hates him and a particularly nasty business man has plans for him that will tear his life apart. Then one day, a stranger arrives to take him away and drops him off in the middle of a very unforgiving landscape, where he will either sink or swim.
