Summaries

Dr. Morton Herskowitz has been practicing the controversial tenants of Reichian psychotherapy in his office on Pine Street since the 1950s. In this short documentary, filmmaker Benjamin Finkel gains unparalleled access to Herskowitz's life and home in Philadelphia, and explores the still fiercely-debated legacy of the Austrian psychologist Wilhelm Reich through the methods of his last-living direct disciple. Reich, who trained directly with Sigmund Freud, died in prison in Lewisburg, PA in 1957 after being prosecuted for his medical techniques. Dr. Herskowitz continues these practices in his clinic to the present day.—Anonymous
