Two years after the ill-fated cabin incident, Brian, Nerd, and Olivia move into a quiet apartment. Nerd, haunted by nightmares, conducts an independent investigation, uncovering a hidden agenda behind the YouTube corporation.
The movie opens with Nerd (Maksim Tarasenko) having a nightmare that leads to a desperate search through papers related to a series of YouTuber murders and other dark YouTube mysteries. Nerd uncovers the explanation for Subscriber's (Nikita Abramov) words about "gnome" and "Chinese" bloggers. Nerd discovers that Brian's cat, Tigra, was a robot all along, suggesting surveillance by YouTube. A courier posing as a representative of the TikToker Defense Society brings an explosive device, leading to a confrontation with Lena (Diana Azhbieva), a hit woman for Sergei Vrazhko (Aleksei Shtukin) and Nerd's ex, who is temporarily stopped by Sassy Nanny. The trio (Nerd, plus Brian Maps and Olivia Star) go to Nanny's house, where they encounter the presumed dead Subscriber. They all team up to stop Vrazhko's plan to take over the world. Did they succeed, or did they "explode" under the pressure of such a large corporation?—Filename99
At the beginning of the movie, some fragments of the Nerd's (Maksim Tarasenko) nightmare are shown. A sleeping Brian gets a reminder on his phone to take his pills. Brian checks his phone, looks at the jar of pills lying nearby, but eventually tosses it aside and goes back to sleep. Nerd wakes up from his nightmare and finds himself in his room, covered in scraps of newspapers and other documents. Apparently, the dream reminded Nerd of something, because he runs to his desk and rummages through the papers. Then he sits down at his desk and starts researching, stumbling upon a YouTube video of a dark-long-haired girl wearing a rabbit mask on a hoverboard chasing a man crawling on the floor. This man turns out to be a famous blogger. He begs for mercy, but the girl kills him in cold blood, after which the blogger is stripped of his Diamond Play Button.
Nerd continues to investigate, with news of the murders of popular YouTubers playing in the background. As he goes through the papers, even swearing at one point (which is uncharacteristic of Nerd, as he tries not to use profanity), he hears footsteps in the other room. Just in time, he grabs a compass from a cup of stationery, but it is only Brian who enters the room, eating jelly worms and joking about Nerd trying to hack their neighbor's mail again. Nerd remarks that he really misses his studies after graduation.
Nerd begins to tell Brian what he has been able to dig up in the case he is investigating. Brian reproaches him that it has been two years since they got involved in a bad story with the popular video platform, and he should have calmed down by now. Nerd tells Brian to remember what Subscriber (Nikita Abramov) was talking about on the phone: gnomes, Chinese, and diamond buttons. Nerd clarifies that the word "gnome" is most likely a cypher - "Gene Neuro Oriented Mutation Enhanced"; the bloggers who work at YouTube. He then slips his buddy some papers confirming that gnomes have been artificially bred. He also informs him that the "Chinese" are real bloggers, just like Brian himself.
Suddenly, something strange begins to happen to Tigra. Its right eye (the one that was shown to be robotic at the end of the last movie) begins to turn red, and the cat makes noises that are uncharacteristic of his species. Nerd and Brian notice this and approach Tigra, whereupon Nerd says he knew about it. Through the cat, TheBrianMaps are being followed directly from YouTube's office, and Vrazhko (Aleksei Shtukin) himself is watching them. Nerd starts disassembling the Cyber Tigra, which turns out to have a whole system in its belly, with wires and everything that robots are supposed to be equipped with. Nerd is busy breaking down Tigra when Olivia enters the room, a little upset about Nerd trying to take the cat away from her because she can't make TikTok videos without it. Brian sits on his bed and sobs as he watches his beloved Tigra, to whom he has grown so attached even though it tried to kill him, being dismantled.
Next, a scene from YouTube headquarters is shown. A man known as Sergei Vrazhko is pushing the murdered YouTuber's diamond button into an unknown structure. Next to the button are several others. The structure flashes red for a few seconds, then turns blue again. Vrazhko smiles.
Meanwhile, Brian's medication alarm goes off. He quickly retreats to the bathroom. Olivia looks at him warily.
Brian walks over to the mirror, opens it, and stands there looking at the jar for a long time. Then he sighs and closes the mirror. But as soon as he closes it, he sees Olivia in the reflection, who suggests that they "go see a movie", to which he agrees.
Footage of the murder of a beauty blogger in a bathtub is shown. While the blogger stands under the jets, the killer wearing a rabbit mask enters the bathroom and kills the girl. The blood shown at the beginning of the movie flows down the drain.
Meanwhile, Brian and Olivia sit on the couch looking for something to watch. First, a news report comes on announcing that a YouTuber has been murdered, and another diamond button has been stolen.
The TV changes movies one by one, but Olivia criticizes them all and tells Brian to turn on YouTube. He turns on the "Extreme Hide and Seek with a Clown" video challenge created by A3 and his assistants. A3 says they are going to play hide and seek with a real evil clown, the camera cuts to the clown sitting in blood and devouring a man.
Meanwhile, the clown lunges at A3 and begins to gobble him up, then turns his attention to the cameraman who is filming. The cameraman tries to escape but drops the camera, revealing that the clown has caught up with him and killed him.
Then the advertisement for a fur coat shop at 94 Kutuzovsky Street, run by Brian's mother, plays.
Meanwhile, Nerd finishes hacking into the network that Tigra used to transmit information to YouTube. After connecting to Vrazhko's webcam, it turns out that it is taped. Brian asks for more volume, and it appears that Brian is the only blogger left, and Vrazhko orders someone to destroy Brian and his friends, leaving one alive to activate his device. A certain "former employee" is also mentioned in the conversation.
Someone rings the doorbell, the main characters arm themselves. Olivia looks through the peephole and sees an unknown man at the door. Assuming it's a courier who got the wrong address, Olivia decides to open the door despite Nerd's warning in order to get a free delivery. The man introduces himself as a representative of the "TikToker Defense Society" and asks her to sign a form. Olivia puts an X all over the form, and then the courier points to his vest, which she opens and discovers the guy is booby-trapped.
The characters rush inside the apartment, and an explosion occurs. Nerd is stunned by the blast, and the blogger assassin, disguised in a rabbit mask, approaches him. She takes off the mask and reveals herself to be Elena (Diana Azhbieva), who works for Vrazhko.
Lena takes Nerd hostage and orders Brian and Olivia to drop their guns. Elena says she will keep her "cupcake" (Nerd) for herself and take care of the rest quickly. She pushes Brian away and lifts Olivia into the air and begins to choke her. Olivia manages to draw a cross on Lena's head with a marker, Sassy Nanny appears in the background and shoots Elena in the head, the bullet coming out right where the cross was.
The camera zooms in on the YouTube office along with an image of an unknown girl standing on a desk in Vrazhko's office. Sergei calls the surviving Elena. She tells him that she missed the bloggers and that Nanny was with them. Vrazhko orders Lena to come back to him, saying that "she will lead them to us".
The trio goes to Sassy Nanny's place, and Brian asks Nerd why Elena tried to kill them. Nerd says she's one of the gnomes.
Afterwards, Nerd explains that the diamond play button is capable of wave-particle duality, to which Olivia demands that he switch to plain language or she will create a "vacuum internal combustion turbulence" in his anus. Brian sees an announcement that Vrazhko is gathering all the popular YouTubers at YouTube HQ.
Nerd tells about the double-slit experiment: when a blogger is watched by a lot of people, a field of quantum vision energy is formed around him and that diamond buttons are able to collect it. The heroes hear an unfamiliar sound, whereupon the Subscriber enters the room and points a gun at them. They respond by turning their weapons on him. Outnumbered, the Subscriber lowers the gun and suggests that they live amicably. Olivia lowers the gun and gives him a black eye. Later, with ice on his eye, Subscriber says he's the only one who can help the guys get rid of the persecution. But Olivia gives him a second black eye. Even later, the Subscriber tries to threaten Olivia, but she asks him, "Do you have a third eye?" The Subscriber explains the gist of Vrazhko's work. He also mentions that Sergei made a special video that zombifies people. And that all he needs is Brian's charged button to make his "infernal" invention work.
Meanwhile, Elena tells Sergei that she will handle the traitors. He figures he needs to start the trial early. Subscriber asks if Nerd can remotely hack into Vrazhko's computer and delete the video. Nerd claims that the defenses are more powerful than Zuckerberg's browser. But he could do it directly from the server. The Subscriber has already secured a janitor's pass to get into YouTube's office. But there are two problems: first, there is a metal detector, and second, the security people know all the popular video bloggers. So everyone turned to Olivia.
And she was taken to a barbershop. There, the hairdressers washed Olivia's hair and her face immediately changed to unrecognizable. Subscriber then gives the heroes a "Plan B" in case they can't delete the video. Upon entering the office, the pantsless Nerd and Brian hide in a cart driven by Olivia with clean hair. The Subscriber also warns them that Vrazhko's video contains low frequency sounds that turn people into zombies, so they should put on headphones and turn on a conference call mixed with heavy metal.
As they walk through the first floor, the five split up: Subscriber and Sassy Nanny go to the security room, while Brian, Olivia, and Nerd go to the server room. Olivia, walking down the hallway with a crowd of bloggers, openly shows her hatred for them. Then one of them decides to flirt with her. She changes her appearance by rubbing her hair into a mess and turns to face the harassing YouTuber. He eventually leaves, but Vrazhko recognizes Olivia and turns on the zombifying video. Brian, Olivia, and Nerd put on earphones and run away from the controlled influencers. Meanwhile, Nanny and Subscriber tried to hack the server's defenses in the security room, but they needed an A-type clearance. Elena found them while looking for Nerd, and the fight began. During the fight, Lena's permit was taken. Nanny managed to hack the protection. The Subscriber, after handcuffing Elena and himself, continued the fight while Nanny ran off to help the main trio.
Olivia, Brian and Nerd rushed into an elevator. In the elevator, Olivia gave Nerd his pants.
After arriving at the data center, the trio found the right server and by hacking into it, they uncovered all of Vrazhko's plans and discovered 3 videos. 2 of them were recorded by Sassy Nanny. In the recordings, Nanny addressed her then-unborn daughter, Olivia. Nanny said she worked at YouTube and was babysitting Vrazhko's daughter, but Sergei was obsessed with the idea of creating an artificial blogger: a gnome. She said she didn't know what to name her daughter yet, but she always wanted Olivia to be a smart, kind girl with hair like her mother's. The second video was static, but a closer look reveals that the video belongs to Vrazhko's daughter. The daughter said that Sergei Vrazhko wants to cut off her head, but if there are a lot of likes, he will let his daughter go. But it was never about the likes. In the last video, Nanny confirms that Sergei murdered his own daughter and she, distraught, vows to kill Sergei for what he did. Brian told Nerd to transfer the data to Brian's email so he could transfer it to a flash drive. But Lena, freed and having chopped off Subscriber's arm, started looking for Nerd.
Near another elevator, the three confronted Elena and began to fight. When it looked like they were going to lose, Subscriber came back with a severed arm and blew up the roof of the elevator with additional C4, cutting off Elena's head with the falling shaft. Suddenly, the headless Lena stood up, grabbed the Subscriber, and fell down the elevator tunnel with him, killing each other. In the main workplace of YouTube HQ, Vrazhko turned on the zombifying video again and the three protagonists, wearing headphones, with the assistance of Nanny, started to fight the manipulated employees. Sergei locked the exit door from the main room, allowing Olivia, Nerd, and Brian to escape, whilst blocking Nanny, making her kill the remaining YouTube workers but succumbing shortly afterwards.
Olivia, in a fit of rage, is eager to finish what Nanny started. Unfortunately, when they entered Vrazhko's office, Brian accidentally charged his button and Nerd tried to delete the video, but the file with the video kept replicating after it was deleted. Sergei appeared and turned on his contraption, and the trio tried to fight him, but he was skilled and broke Brian's arm, Olivia's side with an axe, and Nerd's stomach with his own compass. Vrazhko explained that his video didn't zombify people, but actually revealed their instinct to obey, but Olivia said "Peek-a-boo, motherfucker!" and killed him. Brian dragged his friends to Sergei's machine, and then the villain's recording began to play. He had a plan B of his own: a life-support sensor in his computer. If Vrazhko died before his time, the order would be different, sent out on an automatic timer. The order was: "Kill whoever is close to you." Nerd can't stop Vrazhko's plan in time, but he can change the video with the deadly order to a harmless one. Brian has to post a new video without traffic on his channel. Brian takes his phone and leaves the YouTube building. However, Nerd finds out that they won't make it in time. Olivia asked him to give her the detonator and run, but he refused. They declared their love and pressed the trigger. Outside, Brian expressed his gratitude to the subscribers and his friends, and when the explosion went off, he fell to the dirty snowy ground and cried.
A year later, Brian started living in a cabin in the woods and became a hermit. The news talked about the explosion in Vrazhko's office and about Brian's video, because of which his channel became popular and started to reach 50 million subscribers and the Ruby Play Button. Brian takes the button to the lake, puts it in a barrel and prepares to burn it. But before he does, he reunites with a perfectly healthy Subscriber and gives him a flash drive about the Gnome project. He remarks that it is unlikely that they will meet a third time. Subscriber tells Brian that he will give the flash drive to journalists and that the YouTube Corporation will definitely be finished. He gives Brian the schizophrenia pills and leaves. Brian burns his diamond button and the pills and sees Olivia with Nerd. They look back and thank him. Afterwards, Brian smiled and began to look off into the distance as the button burned out.
