Driving home from a New Year's Eve party, Chief Inspector Taras Birsa notices a police car by the road. He stops, and inadvertently gets involved in an investigation of a brutal murder of a young woman.

Taras Birsa, a senior inspector for blood and sexual offenses, inadvertently gets involved in a murder investigation on his way from a New Year's party. With a difficult and unusually cruel case of the murder of a young woman, Taras and his well-coordinated team have to deal with a new colleague at the request of their superiors. Under public pressure, Taras also faces personal problems: after his only daughter goes to study abroad, the gap in family life reveals the cracks in his marriage.—RTV 4D
