The Investigator was a summer replacement series that ran on NBC every Tuesday night, 8-9pm, from 3 June 1958-2 September 1958. It was broadcast live, and in color. Jeff Prior is a hip private detective who learned his skills from his retired newspaperman father, Lloyd. Jeff dug up the facts and then worked with his father to bring the culprit to justice.—J.E.
