The Infected is a mockumentary about a group of men who believe they suffer from "cooties," a grave chronic disease. Led by the self-styled Doctor Belser NND, who runs the world's first ever Cootie Clinic, the group of misfits gathers to raise awareness for their bizarre symptoms and organize the first-ever "National Conference of Cootie Survivors." The Infected follows Daniel, the enthusiastic but misguided leader, and Noah, a downtrodden cootie "survivor," as they navigate awkward group meetings and absurd interviews. The satire humorously explores themes of misguided activism and pseudo-scientific health claims.
