Anne Graham is acquitted of murder after her patient has died under suspicious circumstances. Changing her name, she gets a position nursing Edward Bentley who soon dies of what appears to be a copycat murder. Again, Anne is arrested.

Nurse Anne Graham (Margaret Lockwood) is controversially, but rightly, acquitted of murder after her elderly patient dies under suspicious circumstances. Changing her name, she gets a position nursing wheelchair-bound Edward Bentley (Wyndham Goldie), little suspecting that his wife and the butler are lovers setting Anne up so that after Bentley is found dead, it looks like a repeat of the earlier crime.—Jeremy Perkins {J-26}
