When a movie star is kidnapped, everyone thinks it's a publicity stunt. It's not.

Laurel Srevens (Jane Russell) is a movie star who's kidnapped by a pair of desperate amateurs - Mike Valla (Ralph Meeker) and "Dandy" (Keenan Wynn). But the pair get cold feet, and decide to let her go. Worried abut the effect a faked kidnapping would have on her career, Laurel tells them they've got to go through with it. She points out she'd been party to a number of outrageous publicity stunts during her career, and since they abducted her on the eve of the release of her newest film, "The Kidnapped Bride," she fears her career will collapse, unless they make the kidnapping appear real.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
