Convinced by a vacationing professor that he should get an education, Charles Taylor abandons his cowboy life for college. He finds that higher education involves more than books, however, when the sophomores select him as an ideal subject for hazing. Charles more than holds his own, finds it occasionally necessary to thrash Tubby Tarpley, and attracts the favor of Violet Blakely. His final triumph comes when the "Sophs" try to frame him as a burglar of the Blakely household, but a real thief happens along, and Charles captures him for the police.—Pamela Short
