Gilgamesh, king of Uruk, abuses power prompting gods to create Enkidu to subdue him. They befriend, kill Humbaba, fight Bull of Heaven. Enkidu dies, Gilgamesh seeks Utnapishim for immortality.
An adaptation of the Epic of Gilgamesh as a silent movie. Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk, is abusing his authority, so the gods send Enkidu, a wild-man, to challenge him. Gilgamesh and Enkidu end up becoming friends and go on a journey to kill the monster Humbaba together, then protect the city from the Bull of Heaven when the goddess Ishtar sends it to destroy Gilgamesh. After Enkidu sickens and dies, Gilgamesh becomes anxious about his own impending death and goes on a quest to seek out Utnapishim, legendary survivor of the great flood and holder of the secret of immortality.—Zeb Haradon
