Police officer Franz Eberhofer is woken up by his colleagues because his boss Barschl has been killed. The murder weapon is Franz' knife, so he is suspected to be the murderer of his hated boss.
Franz Eberhofer, still drunk, is woken up the morning after a lavish police wedding by a heavily armed special forces commando, who unfortunately cannot be chased away by Grandma's broom. His colleague Barschl has been found dead with a knife in his back. And unfortunately the murder weapon, Franz's pocket knife of all things, can be identified without a doubt because his name is engraved on it. The fact that the deceased is Franz's unloved boss and declared arch enemy doesn't make things any better. It's good that his old hippie father has come up with a nice alibi for him. But Franz has to investigate himself. Luckily his friend Rudi Birkenberger is on hand to help him solve the delicate case. Franz also has a lot to do in his private life. His dad has been seething with jealousy ever since his grandmother's childhood sweetheart, the eccentric Paul, turned up and took over the house. And that's not all: because Paul can't stand anything else, his grandmother only cooks semolina dumpling soup. Things also get tricky for Franz when he narrowly misses a marriage proposal from his girlfriend Susi.—ADR Das Erste
