Summaries

A sailor, whose life has been destroyed in every way, is drunk all the time. By chance, he discovers the current owner of the villa that used to belong to him.

Perpetually inebriated, and profoundly sad, the disgraced former captain, Savvas Arbouzis, still hasn't come to terms with the tragedy that claimed the lives of his men. Of course, proud and fiercely honest Savvas has taken great pains to keep his predicament secret from his ailing daughter, Rita, who believes that her father is a successful and respected captain of the Hellenic Merchant Marine. Then, Rita announces that she wants to return from America to her hometown of Piraeus, and shocked Savvas has no other choice but to enlist the help of the young shipowner, Foivos: a man whom he met under awkward conditions. Now, Savvas has to pose as the proprietor of the villa that he used to own and convince Rita that nothing has changed. But, what happens if Rita finds love, and the truth comes to light?—Nick Riganas
