During WW2, American General Worden orders Major Reisman to pick 12 soldiers from the military prison for the dangerous mission of killing a Nazi General.

Major Reisman is "volunteered" to lead another mission using convicted army soldiers, sentenced to either death or long prison terms. This time their mission is to kill a Nazi general who plans to assassinate Hitler.—Brian W Martz <[email protected]>

When the Allies learn of a plot to assassinate Hitler and that one of his confidants is the one who will carry it out, they need to send someone to take out the man, and General Worden decides to send Major Reisman--the man who led the Dirty Dozen--and it turns out Reisman is facing a court martial which makes it easy to convince him to do it. So he finds a new dozen and trains them.[email protected]
