Sally is the host of radio chat show at a local radio station. When she gets the long-awaited offer to move to a major station, she has to learn that everything in life has a price tag. Nicholas has the unusual habit of attending funerals of people he doesn't know. When he meets Alice, a woman with the same habit, the time has finally come to face his demons from the past. Working in a cinema turns out not as entertaining as Lydia hoped, especially when she meets projectionist Jason, whose life is being turned upside down when the cinema converts to digital projection. Laura is used to pretend to be someone else, and making up interesting stories about her life. But when she meets Oliver who does the same, both start to learn who they really are.
