Following Cleveland's divorce from Loretta, he has already lost his house and he is given custody of his child. With nowhere to go, Cleveland and his son move back to Stoolbend, Virginia. Cleveland marries his high school sweetheart Donna Tubbs. Cleveland ends up gaining two step-children from Donna's previous marriage to Robert.
