A struggling chess player is given a mysterious pill which enhances his mental abilities. He is then taken under the wing of a powerful, mysterious tyrant and becomes involved in an underground, shady chess tournament.

Andranik, a once chess prodigy, now struggles to meet his day-to-day needs, as he lives off playing chess on bets. Despite barely able to make ends meet, Andranik finds joy in living with his 3 good friends, Davit, Kolik, and Artem. Another one of Andranik's friend's is Hamlet, a biochemist who's been working on a brain stimulant capable of enhancing the mind. After the sudden disappearance of Hamlet, Andranik is left with a bottle of these pills and a warning from Hamlet not to give it to anyone. This is when Andranik meets Rustem, a shady, powerful figure under the guise of a philanthropist who takes the once-promising chess player under his wing and promises to help him reach his full potential. And with that, Andranik is thrust into a complicated conspiracy involving an underground chess club, where black market trade is the currency, and a long forgotten mystery that holds the answer to Hamlet's disappearance. Andranik must use the pills to navigate this situation that is far beyond his capacity, while doing his best to preserve any semblance of a normal life.—Alex Mikaelian
