This three-part special chronicles the journeys taken by the likes of Henry Ford, Walter Chrysler and the Dodge brothers as they worked their way up to the top of the industry to become legendary brands whose vehicles are coveted by car enthusiasts and collectors. Character-driven re-enactments and rare archival footage are used to showcase the career trajectories taken by the featured subjects. In addition to the aforementioned figures, the program discusses the careers of General Motors co-founder William Durant, automobile executive Lee Iacocca, and John DeLorean, whose namesake car has become a part of American pop culture.
