After the loss of her mother in a car accident, a young girl finds herself at grief counseling camp with the teenager who caused her mother's death.

Originally shot as a part of the 48 Hour Film Project, The Butterfly is a moving story about overcoming grief and finding the power to forgive. Lucy is a young girl with a loving and devoted mother named Lena who works as a driving instructor. Lena takes Jade, a teenage girl, on a driving test and an unfortunate accident claims Lena's life while Jade survives. Needing support and help to work through their grief, Lena and Jade both enroll in the same grief counseling camp, unaware of their tragic connection. Will both young women find the power to heal and will Lucy be able to forgive Jade?—Nathan Block
