Nick and Edward reunite and prospect the winter land, mapping out a new trail system in the alps.

In the Barraclough Expedition, Nick and Edward enter the forest through a cracked board that a previous explorer entered. They brave the woods throughout the year, but continue to establish the first outpost and use the toboggan to round the Cape of No Hope after exploring the Mountain. They leap on lily-pad spots in the "sea of snow", and get lost in a canyon at Christmas. In the new year, they establish the second outpost, but have to fight the North West Territories government when they find a potential archaeological settlement, of which they find some precious minerals in the mine. They construct a ladder into the canyon but are put off by a government motherf*. After a representative from the government inspects the site, they cannot continue, so they resolve to prospect an "advanced" trail in Bear Country, chasing a lost screw driver. The boys pave a roadway into the second field, avoiding the Bird Sancutary. They drain resources and finance in a snow plow that fails. Nick decides to construct tunnels in the field to cover ground, the boys then explore new domain and establish a fourth luxury outpost. They try to climb a vertical wall to the final spot, but disaster strikes and Edward has Hydraulic poisoning from the melted snow. Nick then finishes successfully as spring re-approaches.—Discovery Channel
